Yummy Quinoa Pizzas.

I'm not usually a fan of super healthy food, I mean I do like it and I know how good it is for me, but on daily basis I just prefer foods that actually make my hunger go away. It is amazing though how many incredible things you can make out of healthy foods, and if you have enough time to make it, then I don't see a reason why not. So I was browsing this food magazine at a friends' house, and it had this article about healthy base pizzas. There was one out of broccoli, one out of sweet potatoes and one out of quinoa. So I thought I'd give it a try! I did change it a little bit because the original recipe told me to soak the quinao for 8 hours and obviously I didn't have the patience for this, so I remembered how I had made a pizza base out of zucchini once by just adding some eggs and parmesan and spoonful of flour. So I was hoping I could do the same to quinoa and yes, it worked very well! It turned out super yummy, me and my mum were big fans, but my dad who is a big admirer of mayonnaise, oil, butter and all of the fats in the world, said it tastes like a rye bread sandwich. I do suggest you give it a go, because there's nothing that makes you feel better than having a guilt-free pizza!

Ma ei ole küll eriti suur fänn igasuguste supertoitude osas, nad on küll väga maitsvad, aga igapäevaselt ei ole mul lihtsalt aega sellega tegeleda ja eelistan midagi, mis kõhtu ka täidaks. On aga imeline, mida kõike võib tervislikest koostisosadest kokata, ja kui selleks aega ja tahtmist on, siis miks mitte! Lugesin siis Anna juures üks päev Oma Maitse ajakirja ja seal oli artikkel tervislikest pitsapõhjadest, seal oli üks brokkolist, üks pataadist ja üks kinoast. Mõtlesin, et ma tahaksin küll sellist proovida. Ma muutsin natukene originaalset retsepti, kuna see ütles mulle kinoa 8-ks tunniks ligunema panna ja kannatust mul selleks otseloomulikult ei olnud. Siis mul tuli meelde, kuidas olin kunagi teinud pitsapõhja suvikõrvitsast, lisades lihtsalt veidi jahu, küüslauku, mune ja parmesani. Lootsin, et see töötab ka kinoa puhul ja töötaski-väga hea oli! Minule ja emale meeldis pitsa väga, aga minu isa, kes on suur majoneesi, õli, või ja kõige rasvase fänn, ütles, et see maitseb nagu võileib. Nii et proovi ise, ja usu mind, et pole olemas paremat tunnet kui süüvaba pitsat süüa!

Base

200 g of red quinoa

3 pieces of garlic

2 tablespoons of whole-wheat flour or normal flour

100 g of grated parmesan

1 tablespoon of olive oil

a little bit of sriracha if you prefer it hot


Toppings

Anything you like, but I used:

Philadelphia

Smoked Chicken

Basil

Cherry Tomatoes Chili Sauce

Smoked Cheese if you prefer it cheeesy


1.Wash the quinoa under cold water, then cover in water and bring to boil for however long it says on the packet.

1.Loputa kinoa külma vee all, siis kata kinoa veega ja aja keema nii kauaks kui pakendil ütleb.

2. Kui kinoa on valmis ja potti on jäänud ka natukene vett üle, lisa sinna oliiviõli, jahu, parmesan ja küüslauk. Kui kasutad chillikastet, siis ka see. Sega kokku ja tainas on valmis.

2. When the quinoa is done and there's a little bit of water left in the pot as well, add oil, parmesan, flour, garlic and chili sauce if you are using it. Mix and the base mixture is ready.


3. Create pizza like bases on a baking sheets covered with a bit of oil, so it won't stick to it. Put to the 220 C oven for 15-20 minutes.

3. Määri küpsetuspaber õliga, et tainas kinni ei jääks, siis rulli kätega ümarad pitsapõhjad ja pane 220 kraadisesse ahju 15-20 minutiks.

4. Top with your favorite toppings and if you want it cheesy, you can finally top it with smoked cheese and put back to the oven for few minutes.

4.Kata pitsa enda valitud kattega ja kui tahad juustust pitsat, siis pane veel kiht juustu peale ja tagasi ahju umbes 10-ks minutiks.
